Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital was pleased to host an open house in honor of its 10 year anniversary celebration. The event was held on Thursday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at our facility located at 1650 Bragaw St. in Anchorage. This anniversary milestone event brought together leaders from the military, veteran and first responder communities as well as those from local government and mental health leadership.

“I want to thank the community members who attended this incredible event,” said Jaime Eggert, CEO. “As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital, we honor a decade of unwavering commitment to mental health treatment and healing in our Alaska community. This milestone reflects the dedication of our staff, the trust of our patients and our deep commitment to serve those who so bravely serve their country and community. We remain steadfast in our mission to provide compassionate, trauma-informed behavioral health care for many years to come. We seek to honor the enduring legacy of Chris Kyle’s service and feel privileged to walk beside those who have dedicated their lives to serve others. You served us, it’s our honor to serve you.”

Founded in 2015, our hospital is named after Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle, who devoted his life to helping others cope with military-specific trauma after he retired from the United States Navy. Like the namesake of our hospital, we are deeply committed to helping those we serve to be able to live a meaningful and fulfilled life after experiencing service related trauma. Holistic in nature, our services are attentive to the needs of the whole self — mind, body and spirit — and therefore provide care that enhances the mind, strengthens the body and empowers the spirit.

Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital’s treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, clinical therapists and direct care staff, provides individualized care to members of the active-duty military, veteran and first responder communities seeking mental health or substance use services. Specialists in fields such as psychology, the treatment of suicidality, substance use, and nutrition provide rigorous assessments and consult with treatment planning. The teams are also supported by ancillary departments staffed with experienced and knowledgeable employees who all share the goal of providing healing to those in need.

As our facility enters its 11th year of service, we will continue to help our patients thrive in their professional careers and in their communities, support new ways to help them develop and grow, and guide them toward healthy choices that last a lifetime.
